Welcome to my genealogy blog! I’ve been digging around in my family tree for twenty years now, and I thought this would be a good way to share some of the great stories and pictures I’ve collected. I might also give up a few tips about researching now and then. If you have a question, please post it below, and I’ll see if I can answer it.

Hi Katrina, First let me tell you who I am. I grew up in Whites Addition, Cherry Tree. We were neighbors of the Stoneoff/Baisden Family for years.

My father is George and Rena Sansom. I know Robert knows who I am. I was a playmate with Johnnie and Cleta Mae when we were growing up. Johnnie and I are the same age.

I too am into genealogy and my grandmother on my mothers side was a Bailey. This part of the Richard Bailey family of Virginia. A couple of his sons migrating to Southern West Virginia. Let me hear from you.

    • Hi, Beula!

How very nice to meet you! It never occurred to me that people would stumble onto my blog by googling names. Very cool!

I wonder if it’s the same Bailey family? I haven’t done a lot of research on the Baileys, mostly because I’ve found Frank Bailey very difficult to research (though his father Clayborn and grandfather Henry are a bit easier). Hearing from Vernard’s daughter is what sparked my looking into that line a bit.

Hmm. I think perhaps it’s time to update that blog!

      Katrina
